The second Coders4africa In Action event was held on Saturday, July 2nd, 2011 at the SupInfo in Dakar, Senegal.

The program was as follows:

• Presentation of the interns for the project IDev-ic namely Mustafa Sene and Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba DIOP
• Presentation of the project IDev-ic and the data center.
• Demo Spring and Hibernate
• Demo a like Family tree web Application
  

The following following people hosted the event locally Leger Djiba (C4A Senegal Programme Manager), Lamine Ba and Mamadou Diouf of SeneJUG.

He also described and presented the system architecture overview of the project ELIMU.

The date of the Coders4africa In Action event has been changed from June 25 to July 2nd, 2011 fron 15:00 to 18:00 at SupInfo Address: 3, rue Aristide Le Dantec X rue Huart  BP 21104 Dakar- Ponty Dakar- République du Sénégal.

The first goal of the meeting is to regroup and discuss current coders4africa projects and activities. You can help us choose a particular technology you want to discuss. We will hold both coding and demo session based on the technology you chose.

The other goal is to bring together under one roof local programmers and Senegalese firms. These companies will showcase their activities but also work with the audience in trying to find solutions to their current IT projects.There will be some internship opportunities for c4a members and other surprises.

The first Coders4africa In Action event was held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Ecole National d’Administration (ENA) in Dakar, Senegal.
The purpose of the meeting was to bring together under one roof local software developers and Senegalese firms that not only are C4A sponsors but also are looking to collaborate with C4A developers to find solutions to their current IT projects. In return, members of C4A can take advantage of paid training by the C4A organization and the companies get free human capital.

Some members of the C4A team: Amadou Daffe (co-founder), Ibrahim Cissé (co-founder), Kwame Andah (co-founder), Vincent Muller (Communication Manager) joined the event via webex.
Leger Djiba (C4A Program Manager of Senegal) was the moderator and Presenter. There were a dozen members at the meeting. This poor attendance was due to logistics and venue issues. Nonetheless we will try to have a full house next time.
